In September 2011, I completed MA in Photography and Urban Cultures at Goldsmiths College London. As part of my research, I researched youth cultures, participatory photography and the relationship between practitioner and participant. At what points can collaboration exist? This has led me to work with youth groups and youth based charities in South London, using photography and in particular the portrait as a means to exploring power relations and the individual lives of each participant.
In the autumn of 2011, I was chosen as one of the artists in residence, on the Artsdepot\'s Creative Routes project. An exhibition of art created by local primary school children working with professional artists Emily Finn, Errol Fernandes, Jack Goffe, Martin Russell and Lee Simmons. This years exhibition explores the theme of Journeys. Creative Routes is supported by the Milly Apthorp Charitable Trust and the Prince\'s Foundation for Children and the Arts. The artwork is being exhibited until 8th January 2011.
